Are you looking for pure SPL? Then DD would be great- the w6, while loud, has better SQL than SPL, IMO... And from what I've heard- plus a recone for a DD would be easier.

I knew A guy who had 3 JL 18W6's in a Jeep- you could hear him for a fair distance.

I like to keep them in a sealed box..i like sound quality more than DBs...my next car will be my DB machine with either treo or DD..not sure which...i am not selling my JL's they are hard to get..seen em a few times on ebay went for 600 easy for 3 of them in a box...thanks anyway..im out
