in my setup i have 4 RE8's, (2 older, 2 newer) when i refer to the older style this is what im talking about. http://cgi.ebay.com/RE-AUDIO-RE8-S4-350-WATTS-8-CAR-AUDIO-BASS-SUB-WOOFER_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZQ7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2em63Q2el1177QQhashZitem35a1cffbc3QQitemZ230348028867QQptZUKQ5fAudioQ5fTVQ5fElectronicsQ5fInQ5fCarQ5fEntertainmentQ5fGPSQ5fCarQ5fSpeakersQ5fPPQQsalenotsupported

ever since i got them, the older ones could have more power than the newer ones. the newer ones would bottom out every now and then, where the old ones wouldnt. no one of the new ones are pretty much done. just wondering if anyone else has had this experience?

alright now, regarding my problem. i was watching the subs move today, and it almost looks like the one that bottoms out is out of phase. would it be possible that the polarity changed on it somehow? the only thing that i think couldve done something wierd, is that i was playing rap on the rock settings. so it was really loud bass, compared to normal. any ideas?

well, so far i found out that the newer ones have a softer spider. so they cant handle as much power as the old ones. but i think thats about it.
