I installed my first system about a month ago. Everything went well no problems with install and everything worked when done. Ill give ya a quick run down of what im running...

Big "3" with 2/0

Hifonics ZXI 1010 bridged running 4ohm, pushing some Old Kicker c12a 8 ohm wired parallel

(cant tell ya about the box, is there a way to figure out its tuning after its been built? it is a sealed box.)

then i have a DSC480 running my fronts and rear.

So i realize the subs are not the greatest and as a whole it sounds good, just not satisfied with the output. Im not trying to start an earthquake but want more. Would it be wiser to drop the subs and the zeus? Or could I just get a nicer pair of subs and be ok?

any other info youd like lemme know. i think i covered everything. Ah, more sq than just straight spl, sql i guess lol

Thanks

thos have potential. i miss my teggy now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
Yea, I love my tegs, had a 88, still have a 95 sedan and the coupe //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Better box, better subs, and bigger amp (in that order) IMHO. Keeping in mind after a point bigger amp will require electrical upgrades in addition to the upfront cost of the amp.
Ah ha, that's what I was looking for. Thank you. So I should just assume the box *****? Is there no way to tell how its tuned?

Yea, I was hoping that I wouldn't have to mess with getting an alt and bat quite yet but this is usually how these things start out huh? lol

Also, I was actually thinking about doing a single 15' originally, 2 or 3 sa-8s are interesting too but i've never heard 8s haha

There isn't really a frequency tuning for sealed boxes as much as for ported. Build a nice ported box and run a pair of decent 12s and Youll be good. It's more cone area than a 15 anyway so you would get more air moving that way
