Ok something i havent seen before

well how do i go about doing that i have an alpine mrp-850 its not bad 5oowat 4ohm and 800 wat 2 ohm, if i stepped them up to 8 ohm and wired all down to 2.... will it work correctly? and how do i step it up and wire it

I havent got the chance to say this before, but fail. - that seems to be the lingo around here for someone acting like a dumbass.

Are these by chance 2 diff models of subs? Im sure there is a way to make them work, in theory they would, but i doubt it would sound right at all. If you take the 2 dvc subs and wire the vcs in series, then in parrallel to the amp,and wire the 2 SVC subs in parrallel i think theyd all get about equal power (the 2.67 ohm load you guys mentioned) but it just doesnt seem right. Plus youd be getting about 500rms to 4 subs = fail again. Take the 2 svc subs and wire them down to 2 ohms and use those, i dont think that amp is 1 ohm stable. Or put one of the dvc subs on that amp, and buy another 850 and put the other dvc on it, those are your choices

 
wrong, they will see less power.
When wired in series, the higher impedance will see the most power. When wired in parallel, the lowest impedance will see the most power. If the lowest impedance always had the most power dissipated, our wires would be cooking up now wouldn't they? Why don't they? Because they're wired in series to the subs and the small resistance of the wire doesn't take much power and so it doesn't heat up.

P = R*I^2

P = (V^2)/R

When in series, the current is equal across all loads. When in parallel, the voltage is equal across all loads.

Either way, the thread starter should not try to hook all these random subs up in the same vehicle.
