ok i have a box i'm covering it's got a crazy shape (fiberglass baffle) i've made many but painted them all now my girl wants to be a pain in the *** and she wants it covered in vinyl it's 3 way strech and i can't get this ***** to stick even with the heat gun it pulls in a few spots what glue is every one useing and should i buy 5 way strech 3 way is all they had local i'll post a post of the box let me know

Doesn't look too curvy should be able to stretch vinyl. Try contact cement.

You may want to bondo/sand a little more especially on the sides, you will see imperections after the vinyl

dap contact cement? utter mess, it takes forever to stick and doesn't bond well...although it bonds fingers togehter....3M spray adhesive is the only way to go.

Haven't had much luck with 3M adhesive and vinyl

spray adhesive doesnt last the long haul with vinyl. I agree with sanding a bit more. I think it may show some of the imperfections. Contact cement is the best bet, have to lay it on thick and evenly. Let it tack up reall good, then patiently work your vinyl over the piece. It shoudl do well.

hmm i used that bullshit on my RE10 box and it took at least an hr to set to where i could even touch it again..

Got lots a sanding to do there brother man. All those imperfections will show right through the vinyl. The best cheap, easy to attain glue I have found is Dap weldwood contact cement ( red can ). The trick is to apply to the back of the vinyl and the enclosure. Then let it tack up. The enclosure doesn't look all that curvy from the pics. You may be stretching the vinyl too much. YOu might try ticking the vinyl in the dryer for a couple of minutes before hand. I'll have to remember to try that next time I vinyl something

use 3m 97 and let it tack up and staple one end to the box and start heating and streching the vynil

Thats a really good tip, i dont kno why i didnt think of that when i vinyled my trunk...

Now back to the topic...my guess is to try stapling the vinyl to the back of the box, and then slowly strectch to the front and use 3M to stick it down
