Ok i need some help...

Alright well i have 4 JL Audio 10 inch W0's (4ohm) and i was wondering how to set it up so i could get some good clean bass out of it. I just want it to sound good and it to hit hard.

Well i have 2 amps, a Rockford Fosgate P2002 and a JL 2150. Now i hook 2 subs up to each amp right, since they are both 2 channel amps? I just simply wire the - to the - and the positive to the positive right? (just 2 wires running from each channel to each sub, a positive and a negative) Or is there more to it than that?

I already have the amps wired so i dont need any help there, just with the subs. Also, what would yall reccomend putting the gain and the frequency pass settings at? Or do i just do an 'all-pass' for the frequency settings?

Thanks for the help.

Bridge both amps. Run each set of subs in paralell for a final two ohm load at the amp

See attachment below for a better idea as to what im talking about.

For bridging, check your user manual on both amps. It should tell you what output terminals to use to properly bridge them.

This set up should bump considerably more than what you where planning to do.

so it looks like in that pic that i run thw subs off the same wire?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Right now i have them wired up running from each channel, so theres 4 wires, 2 going to each sub. Am i suppose to just have 2 wires and split them off to go to each sub? Thanks for the help.

Do not bridge the two amps, do not pass go, do not collect $200.00.

Your subs are single 4 ohm, wired in the circuit shown will result in a net load of 2 ohms mono to the amp which will send each amplifier into thermal protection in no time flat. Use one amp or the other only. The Rockford is the slightly larger of the two as for the 12 volt power ratings of 50w rms x 2 vs 45w rms x 2.

Wire the subs in parallel as shown in the thumbnail above, however this is now used as 1 channel of the amplifier. Do the same to the other set of subs and wire to the other channel of the same amp. This will result in a net load of 2 ohms per channel and is safe for the amp to run. The amp will make about 100w rms per channel split 50 watts to each sub (approximate). You have a way too small of an amplifier to try and drive 4 of these subs to their design capabilities. It is OK to underpower a sub like this as long as the gain is set properly An improper gain setting will clip the outputs of the amp and send large amounts of distorted signal to the subs to be reproduced, end result is sss . A much larger amp should be in your future.

yeah ive got them set-up with 2 subs going to one amp and 2 subs going to the other amp, each sub off one channel...and theyre hitting pretty hard and sound good. And yes im getting a bigger amp in the future, this was just temporary b/c i already had all this stuff sitting around.

Do you have any amp suggestions that would get these subs operatiing at their fullest potential?
