*Wrong Gauge?*

Is a 4 gauge kit enough for an Audiobahn A2300 HCT?? It really is an extremely powerful amp, even though I realize most of you do NOT like audiobahn....you have to give that amp credit for what it can do. It's not in my car right now but I just don't know if a 4 guage is bad to run it with since 4 isn't that big. I don't really have any money to buy an 0 gauge or 1/0.....but I just need to know if its bad to run that amp off of a 4 guage

Look in your manual or if you don't have a manual, go to their website and try to find one. It should tell you what size to use.

im guessing your gonna run that amp 1 ohm righ? 2400x2 @ 1 ohm

you might light the wire on fire with that much power. If you don't have enough cash to run 0/1 awg, then either don't put the amp in until you can, or run it quieter and get 2 awg.

I think that amp will only accept a max of 4 gauge wire. I could be wrong, but if that is the case just get a 1/0 to 4 gauge adapter.
