Oh I thought you meant a link to my thread. Well if you end up wanting those IXLs let me know because I'll be going home the 13th and Orland Park is only 20-30 min from me. I could always pick them up for you and meet you somewhere off the highway when I head back down to Charleston on the 22nd.

My son absolutely loves the setup.. I am already upgrading his new setup LOL.. Picked him up a set of 6.1 Kappas to replace the 4*6 and 1" tweeters so I can run them off the 300/4 instead of running the tweets off the HU. One of the 6.1's came in damaged though so another is on the way.

This is what my buddy wants me to get but I know it will require more work then just adding comps.

Its more work but people say its worth it. I have never ran it personaly but many on here and especially Diyma have.

JL does have nice SQ but better can be had for the same price. Im surprised I havent heard Fi Q yet. 15" in a sealed box should do nicely for SQ and still some volume.

My son runs a 13w7 and that thing just makes my ears bleed LOL... Its hits good though.

For you sub... If you stuck on DD subs the 3512 would be a good choice imo.

No DEF not stuck on anything.... I guess I just want something solid.. Seems I am good on the comps with the few I have looked at. I just do not want a sub that overpowers the music like my sons setup does.. I want something that blends in nicely...

i would recommend the image dynamics set because the comp speakers have great midbass even free-air unlike many sets and the SQ is great.. the idmax gets loud while sounding great.. plus the cost of this set is pretty cheap

With that budget man you have so many choices... like a little kid in a big **** candy store.

When you start getting into the higher end stuff I like Focals K-Power line of speakers. Right at the top end of your budget though. Great sounding speakers though.
