Ok well lets just say after doing my sons car I have decided Dad needs some new toys too.. My car currently has 2 sets of factory comps in the front and rear doors.. I am going to pass on the rear comp set and go with a badass set up front. I think I am going to run ZAPCO DCS series Reference amplifier to run them on. I have a buddy who gets 50% off these. Also you can adj them with your laptop as he uses these currently and they sound so clean. I am looking at 400-600 for the comps but was thinking of going all DD and using there DDA-W Separate Components. I have not heard them and have no access to hear them so can anyone comment or post links to some other comp sets I may like for SQ but can get loud if need be. I am also just going to go with a 10" sq sub as I do not need my ears to bleed like he does with the 13w7 hes running. I was thinking DD also for the sub does anyone have any recommendations or anything else to look at?

DD and SQ don't go together when talking about subs. Do you want to go sealed or ported? How much do you want to spend on your sub-stage and what kind of power would you like to run?

As for the fronts, it sounds like you know what you want. I've never run Zapco speakers, but I've heard nothing but good from their amps.

I am thinking 2 channel for the comps or maybe 4 channel bridged and then prob around 1000 watt for a sub. I would go 400-600 for a sub and box also maybe more.

i'de suggest getting a bass knob for the amp so if the wife or w/e is riding you can have it down , cranked w/e without having to di*k around with deck itself. and almost any sub can be used for Sq it just depends on the box, and amp, and what you concider SQ too.

or you can try a 12" pioneer TS-W5102SPL there great all around my buddy has his on 1000W RMS and a little wider FQ tolerence (memphis amp) and it picks up most stuff great. but i'de go a little over the box specs to get the best quality+ output.

You've got a number of choices to choose from. I personally, have RD Sonance 12s" in a sealed box. They are great subs sealed and sound amazing. For the price, power handling and quality, it's hard to beat 'em, I think.

There are others that I "would like to try out" as far as SQ oriented subs like some Critical Mass UL 12", or a Morel Ultimo; Hertz ML 3000 would be another.
