Ohm Stable?

I have a Phoenix Gold Ryval 8001 Amp.

I just lost one of my JL 8W3 6 ohm subs and was looking to temporarily wire my other 2 until I could replace the bad one with a new 8W3 v2.

I can wire for 6 ohm or 1.5 ohm.

My question is, will either of those possibly damage my amp? Am I better off not using my subs until I can replace the one so I can run them at 4 ohm?

Thanks.

Thanks. That's what I'll do.

These subs are rated 125 RMS so the lowered power is no issue. In fact I'll be sure to keep the amp turned down so as not to accidentally damage these 2 that only need 250 watts RMS.
