Ohm question

seems right 2 3ohm coils should wire down to 1.5 and a 1 ohm stable amp will be ok with anything 1ohm and above the same goes for 2 ohm stable amp it is ok with anything 2 ohms and up just dont go below what it is rated for. when you run an amp at a higher ohm load than it is capable of it will put less stress on the amp but will put out less power. a 1 ohm stable amp should have an output rating at 1 ohm and 2 ohm you will get somewhere in between the 2

you'll notice that most of the newer JL slash series amps are rated down to 1.5 ohms.

most likely, with impedance rise and normal usage, an amp rated for 2 ohms would be able to handle the load.

on the safe side, an amp rated for 1 ohm will power them without issue (provided you properly set the gains).
