ohm question

i know about ohms law and all that stuff, and about wiring subs into series or parallel i know about all of that, but my question is...

i have 2 4 ohm dvc subs wired down to 1 ohm, i used a DMM today and checked the ohms by the amp and it said 1.5 now ive heard people say it rises after the box or something...can someone please help me understand how and why it rises?

i honestly dont remember, ill check it again tomorrow, i think i had the stereo on, but it was low volume how should i check it

You should check it with power off and the subs disconnected from the amp.
