hell yea a cap is the most important part of a system //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif sorry, but your friend is wrong again. the only way i can think of that would make a sub louder though ohms is if the ohm drop gave you more voltage. but as your OP stated, even though the ohm's are differnt, the wattage is the same, thus they will sound just the same.
