Ohm problem

Ok I just checked my ohms for my speakers and I have them wired parallel then series to a 1.4 ohm load when inuse the dmm to get ohms at the speKer connection on the amp I get 1.4 with no power but when I turn on power I get around 10 what could be causing this? Subs are dc lvl4 with 5 coils dual 1.4 and amp is Audiopipe ap 3000

Op you might need to get some ohm powder and refill your blinker fluid.

Well then how do I know what ohm my amp is seeing from the voice coils? CuZ I would need to be over 2 ohms

Check with the amp turned off.

If you are trying to calculate impedance rise then you need to pay attention to this link:

A speakers impedance will be higher than its DC resistance (DCR). Most speakers that are a nominal 2 ohm impedance load are in that 1.4 ohm range for DCR, I would say you're safe.
