i got a Kenwood KAC-7204 . [500w rms bridged] and i got a kicker solobaric 15" L7. the sub is a dual 4ohm voice coil. i can wire em up to 8ohm[amp can only go down to 4 ohm when bridged]. if i wire this sub to my amp at 8ohm impedance how much power would be coming out RMS?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Your 8 ohm mono RMS should equal your 4 ohm stereo RMS. You could always wire one channel per coil @ 4 ohms, but I don't recommend it.

ETA: OMG, that amp is 120 watts per channel and I highly doubt it will even make the rated 240 watts @ 8 ohms based on Kenwood's history of NOT making rated power.

i decided to buy a new sub. i bought a RE SE12 .

i have a quick question. my amp has a bass boost knob and my head unit has a 7 band EQ [60hz, 150hz 400hz etc.]

to receive the best bass output which one should i use for bass tuning?should i crank up the bass boost all the way and then adjust from my receiver or should i just use the receiver for fine tuning?

i turned off the bass boost completely [ had it at +3db ].

i also adjusted the gain to match the headunits output [2.5v].

now i can barely hear or feel the sub. ima have to adjust the gain again

BUDGET: around $500

im looking for an amp that has EXCELENT SPL AND SQ

AN AMP THAT CAN DO 600W rms @ 4ohm and higher at 2 ohms
