Woot! Detroilet u stink.
But hey, did Pit even have a shot on goal in the 3rd? If not, that's **** impressive to hold them off like that. Pit defense must have deflected about 6-7 shots...but Fleury was lights out.
he made some good saves. Defense was great in the third

They were credited with 1 ONE shot on goal in the 3rd. Thats 1 more than I thought they were going to get.

I thought Datsyuk was gunna be dangling more. I commented to a buddy how he hasn't really done much and then he pulls this lightning fast move and almost breaks the dudes ankle, lol...whatever happens, Datsyuk's awesome //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I enjoy watching Datsyuk. Before Datsyuk, my favorite player used to be Fedorov.

Heck yea //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

And just curious..who's everyone elses favorite player? (Mine's Danglsyuk if you didnt already know)

To win this series either Datsyuk or Hossa had to step up to the plate, neither could and the result was losing the Cup. Anyway, it is still awesome to have seen the Wings wing 4 Cups and make 6 finals appearances in my life already. Anyway, congrats Pitt, the hockey Gods were with you in this one.

My concern is what happens to the Wings when Lidstrom leaves? he doesn't have much time left. The Wings did a great job replacing guys like Yzerman, Fedorov, Shanahan etc. with Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Franzen, but I don't see anyone being able to carry the load like Lidstrom.

The Wings will find someone, they seem to be good at it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif (Or someone on the team will step up)

Dirtiest players in the league are Phaneuf, Kennedy, Malkin, Avery and a couple more I can't think of right now.

Props to Staahl, he's the only PP I can stand.

The Wings recent dominance started in 91 when Lidstrom joined the team. I may be in the minority, but I think Lidstrom had been more important to the Wings success than Yzerman was. It's still a year or two away so I'll worry then.

Rafalski is already there and Ericcson has really stepped up, also Kronwall!
