man.. id be happy if detroit gets past ana and chi/van but hopefully they can beat boston or pittsburgh

its funny they have beat carolina for a cup, pitts for a cup, caps for a cup.. lol... i see one of those teams comming back and pwning detroit aha

Caps are still in it, lets see ovechkin own that little ***** *** crosby
Crosby is a better player than Ovechkin. Ovie sucked balls in that series against NYR and has never gone anywhere in the playoffs because of his lack of team play. He's all about the showboating and highlight reel goals. The only reason they beat the Rangers was because Lundquist played too much during the regular season (plus NYR has no goal scoring) and because of their other talents like Semin and Varlamov.
6.1% shooting percentage in the playoffs is brutal. Taking 49 of 216 shots (23%) that his team took and only scoring 3 goals is downright awful. Look at the number of turnovers he committed by going 1 on 3 or 1 on 4 instead of dumping or passing.

Crosby and Malkin are team players, leading the league in assists while putting up respectable goal totals (33 and 35 respectively). Both are producing points in the playoffs and both play well both ways without making stupid mistakes because of selfish play.

I'd be surprised to see the Caps go anywhere unless Ovie starts to utilize his teammates.

I guess i'll be going with the Canucks since they're the only Canadian team left //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I dont think the hit was THAT bad. Sure it was a devastating hit, and a bit late BUT if it was a normal hit, it would have never been called. I do think he got rocked by the butt end of the stick, BUT it wasnt an intent to injure thing.

EDIT: by the way.... no suspension was handed out despite what the IDIOT Vs. announcers stated in intermission... "we have seen the last of Brown this series, big suspension coming!"

lol

when i saw it it looked bad, it looked like brown cross checked sort of huds in the head..

the interview of carlyle was rough.. that guys a dick haha

anaheim is a rough dirty team doing anything to win, sort of like the oilers or the older colorado. who on detroit do u see that goes out and trys to do shit like that? or for that, just about any higher end team.. like backa while vancouver would do that shit

most teams now are hitters but not ruthless hits like such, this isnt the 1950's where everyone beats the shit out of each other

and regardless of that detroit wont be comming back to seriously cu up brown or something, if they do they do it smart, like kronwalls normal check caused blood, brown just picked a bad spot to lay someone out lol

i called that game det would win 3-2, and do it before OT, was like told u so when lids got the last one haha

prob win next game 4-2

ovie ramps up the crowd crosby really doesnt

Uh, Crosby can check, shoot, and skate pretty d*mn well, too. Ovie may be better at it and Ovie did an assload of crying to the refs against NYR and Crosby hasn't been doing it at all in the playoffs this year (last year, definitely).
Ovie and Crosby both had wicked games last night (Hat tricks for both). Ovie still pisses me off, though. Every time he touches the puck before the offensive zone, he either:

a) Tries to deke out everyone on the opposing team, turning the puck over, creating an odd-man rush for his opponents.

or

b) Takes a wrist shot from the blue line for an easy save by the opposing goaltender.

That's not smart hockey ...

The save by Varlamov the other night was good, not the save of the decade, though. Kiprusoff on Wellwood earlier this year was the save of the year, IMO. I would say Luongo's save on Eager that same night was at least as good, if not better, due to the distance he had to go to get it; Crosby shot the puck right at Varlamov.

Ok, how many MVPs does Crosby have? 0.

After the awards this year how many will Ovechkin have? 2.

Sorry, Crosby isn't even the best player on his own team let alone in the NHL. I would take Ovechkin, Malkin, Datsyuk and Zetterberg all before I would want Crosby on my team.

As for the Detroit Anaheim series, the Ducks really have me worried, Hiller is on his game 100% and the Ducks are so much bigger than the Wings. Yes the Wings are by far the more talented and skilled team but we have seen a hot goalie beat us in the past, JSG for the Ducks then Roloson for the Oilers. I still think the Wings will win because of their absolute domination of both games 1 & 2, but the Ducks do have me worried.
