**Official NBA thread**

dam, really wanted ATL to at least keep the game close...no chance...still nice to see them push it to game 7...Lakers are taking to Utah, surprised to see that as well...Lakers/Hornets WCF would be fun to watch...

you said shaq shut him down.....i guess in your eyes he did because otherwise he would have averaged 40 points and 20 rebounds?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

me too, i am rippin it up in the local gambling scene. when they come to SA i will naturally go for my guys. Then if they win at home i still rake it in because NO will have the edge going for them.

good game though, they contained west, duncan had a regular not playoff game but better, and rebounds bounced back. our bench as deep and well known for depth they have been, went missing. finley, horry, udoka need to show up to the playoffs

NO is making me a very happy man

Kobe does deserve the MVP. Not taking anything away from Paul, he's a beast and did a lot for his team but Kobe deserves it for making his team better (which he only recently started doing) and being the best offensive player, and one of the best defensive players in the league every game. Chris Paul is definitely going to win an MVP or two in his career though.
You say he's had better seasons? Maybe in stats, but not the way he's impacted his team. His game is ridiculous right now, he gets his team wide open looks nearly every possession, he is a true team player now and that is why this season is different from all of the rest.
Do you even watch the NBA?

Yeah Kobe is having a good year, just like any other year. Their team is better due to the fact of Gasol, plain and simple. Guy brought much needed depth to the team. Now Kobe has another all star player to help him out, like when they had Shaq in the day. Have a good post up player, guy to help on the boards and he is a good passer. They had one of the better records after they picked Gasol up. Like I said Kobe put up good numbers, but he isn't the sole reason why they are where they are right now.

yeah that **** was foul, they shoulda waived the shot. anyone could clearly tell that once the first shot was passed on, it was over the allotted time. **** *****...my spurs are not doing to well either. bastards look tired, but like i said before it is working for me.

oh well, it is what it is...that's how the rules be, can't change them on the fly...

at least Dwight Howard got 22/18...something he supposedly would never get against the Pistons...

I think you should be asking yourself that question, not me. Lakers were 30-16 (Were 1st in the West for a while, then dropped to 2nd, but no lower than that) without Gasol. You sir are a moron. Do not act like you know more than all these experts that are voting for Kobe, there is a reason he is winning MVP, you are just too stupid to recognize it. Kobe is a MUCH better all around player now, and I like how you failed to mention his defense. That is pretty much the biggest part of him winning MVP, he's one of the best defenders in the league. You also did not mention his leadership role on the team now. If you actually do watch NBA, you would notice Kobe becoming much more of a leader this year than any of the others. I'm not saying Kobe is the unanimous pick for MVP, because LeBron, Paul, and Garnett all had great seasons too, but Kobe's was better, not by that much though.

As for the Spurs.. I am pretty sure they are done, Chris Paul is making them look foolish out there. Hornets and Lakers will be a great series to watch. Derek Fisher is going to get absolutely destroyed, lawl.
