Shaq did an excellent job defending Duncan this year. Nothing to really laugh at Shaq for, he did what they signed him for.

Duncan putting up 5 points on the Hornets definitely deserves a laugh though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

huh?

duncan's stats vs the suns

40 points 15 rebounds

18 points 17 rebounds 4 assists

23 points 10 rebounds

29 points 17 rebounds

shaq barely out played him in the suns only win by 2 rebounds

Man you be actin like Shaq was on him for all of those stats. BORIS DIAWWWW ring a bell?
you said shaq shut him down.....i guess in your eyes he did because otherwise he would have averaged 40 points and 20 rebounds?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

if you meant excellent as in shitty, then you sir are correct.

this isnt the first time duncan only scored 5pts in a playoff game. last time he did that we won a ring, so no biggie. it was a good game, they doubled duncan all night, but they did contain paul pretty well, just need an answer for west and that answer is duncan. thomas on chandler is a better matchup for the spurs and probably go that way for them next game.

next game for shaq is when?

he sonned both diaw and shaq, gtfo

no doubt

When your team finishes 14 games out of the division lead, it's tough to sell on an MVP, or the fact Cleveland wouldn't have made it in the west. Garnett statistically had a down year. I don't understand the MVP hype for Garnett. he played with Allen and Pierce.
So what? We didn't have but 50 wins last year and made it to the finals! I hate stupid people with idiotic posts. I betcha you thought real hard on that one. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Also we are not in the West, so why even state that? **** all but 3 teams would be in it if it was all the West. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

It's a league wide award so the west is included. Cleveland was like the 14th best team in the NBA. It's most valuable, not most outstanding player. You are not that valuable if your team is mediocre in a mediocre conference. What does last year have to do with it? This is the regular season MVP for the 2007-2008 year.
Yes, I know it is a leauge wide award, Duh, thank you captian obvious again.

14th best or not..........during the regular season, LBJ is the main reason they are were they were at the end of the year. And there have been many others that have not had the best record and been MVP. LBJ is very valuable to his team, hell he is his team for the most part. You take him away and Cleveland would be lucky to win 30 games a year. Also I wouldn't say Cleveland is mediocre. They have been good the last 4 years and like I said made it to the finals last year and beat your beloved Pistons last year, who were picked to win it. They looked good against the Wizards and will compete with any of the other eastern teams. Not saying they would win it all, but they will make it interesting.

Then why did you ask what the west had to do with it then?
The MVP never goes to players who play on mediocre teams. A 45 win team, and 14th best in the NBA is mediocre. There is no way around it.
You were stating that if the Cavs were in the West, they wouldn't have even made the playoffs.

And I guess when Garnett won it with his 44-38 team, they were just amazing! Oh can't forget when AI won it in 2001 with Philly and his team was 43-39 and got their asses handed to them in the first round.

Your point is now irrelevent.

Humm

Maybe I was looking at the wrong year?

It does say 2004-2005.

My bad, I had the wrong years.
Ha I looked on there too and it was a bit confusing. So I'm not to //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif! I ended up watching an iverson highlight tape from the finals of 01 vs lakers...I got sidetracked.

Although this is a dim hope, I hope the Spurs lose to the Hornets in the series... Pistons vs Spurs again would be pretty boring, if the Pistons get that far.

Yeah is a bit confusing. That was why I posted what I thought I had. I got pwnt! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I would hate to see the Pistons and Spurs again. Matter of fact, I wouldn't even watch it.

I hope the Hornets keep it up.

You obviously did not watch the series at all. That's alright. Whenever it was Shaq one on one with Duncan, he always forced him into a terrible shot. Shaq has defended Duncan well for years. He just wasn't defending him the whole time this series, due to Spurs lack of balls (Hack-a-Shaq), foul trouble, and more need of rest these days, and the Spurs trying to get Duncan away from Shaq as much as possible. Diaw in for Shaq is a ****ed joke, and so are the Suns right now pretty much. Their defense is an absolute joke.

so when is shaqs next game?

Im thinking the winner of the Hornets and spurs is going to be the next champion. I believe chris paul should have got the MVP without a doubt.
I believe he should of as well. He put up better numbers than Nash did when he won it 2x over. Guy should be the face of the NBA to be honest. Awsome player on the court and does a **** ton for his community.

Everybody is on the Kobe Bryant train right now though. Well most experts are. Is funny because he has had many better seasons than this one and never got it.

And case and point, if the best player on the best team win wise, then KG should have got it.

I don't understand their logic really, why Kobe deserves it.

Paul has done so much more for his team, period.

Dam, Celts running a train over Atlanta, lol!

Kobe does deserve the MVP. Not taking anything away from Paul, he's a beast and did a lot for his team but Kobe deserves it for making his team better (which he only recently started doing) and being the best offensive player, and one of the best defensive players in the league every game. Chris Paul is definitely going to win an MVP or two in his career though.

You say he's had better seasons? Maybe in stats, but not the way he's impacted his team. His game is ridiculous right now, he gets his team wide open looks nearly every possession, he is a true team player now and that is why this season is different from all of the rest.
