off brand amps?

I've seen several off brand names come up that people mention as being decent amps. I ordered a mtx tc3001 off ebay but the seller sold me one that is burnt up inside and I only had 45 days to make a claim and the seller didn't respond to my email so now I need to find another amp. The sub is a kicker cvr dual 4 ohm wired to 2 ohm. It is 400 rms. So I'm looking for an amp between like 300-500 rms with an ebc without breaking the bank. I've found a new 300w rms at 2 ohm mtx like I need for $119 and that's reasonable for the wattage it puts out. But what about some of the off brand amps? Or are there any other amps around that price that is meeting my criteria I should be looking at?

Before I bought mine I did some research and everyone who owns one had a lot of positive stuff to say about it.

Those who do not own one call them cheap POS's

You happen to still have the speaker level inputs and the ebc?

Edit: that amp is actually rated at 800 wrms @ 2ohm and 400 @ 4

By offbrand, I'm meaning the non mainstream brands (ie kicker, fosgate, jl, etc). I don't want a piece of junk for an amp. I just wanted to see other brands that are good that I'm not familiar with.

You've got it backwards. These are not off-brand amps you're speaking of. Off brand are pyle, rockwood, volkwagonhaag(or whatever that crappy brand is). DD, Sundown, IA, DC, etc are high end brands. You've just never heard of them. In fact those brands you've heard of are actually cheap garbage in most cases.
