Just curious, can a single 12 or 15 take 1200 RMS daily? Thanks for any advice.

If it's clean, yeah. But it will get hot pretty fast. Put 900-1000w to it instead and it will be safe. Assuming you give it 250w less from 1200, you will only lose around 1dB or so (theoretically speaking at least).

not really, my OA 12 is on 1200wrms right now from my AQ1200. I have to keep it backed down to like 800-900, thats really how much they like. But they sound GREAT off that.

Although mine will be going to SPL audio here in the next few months for some steroids //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif when it comes back it will handle 1200wrms like cake

What does that have to do with anything?

The OA subs are rated at 600 rms. You really don't need much more than that to get them to their full potential. Very effecient drivers from my experience. 600-800 watts is all you need imo. They get decently loud and sound great. Best sub in the price range in terms of "SQL".

I wouldn't put anything over 1k on them. I seen 6 12's on an ns1 on Sunday in an explorer that bish was nasty!!!!

This all depends on how someone defines "handling" the power... I define it by clamped power on a sine wave; in which case many of the power handling claims made online would be thrown out the window.

As far as 2.5" coil drivers go the OA units are well up there in thermal handling.
