NW with subs front and ports back

will this work?can i overcome the cancellations problems associated with back waves?

under 70hz with my trunk door open the bass is stronger.

so i think if i face the port to the rear i will get rid of cancellations around tuning frequency at least.

the car is a hatchback.

the crx style boxes ive always seen are sub up port back.

if both sub / port are facing the rear, no cancelation should occur, but if its a hatchback, why not face them up?

I want to get rid of trunk rattle and have more clear bass by facing the subs to front.If you have heard a NW you understand what i mean,but it lacks lower frequencies.
