hey i had a customer come it to the shop i work at with 4 tens... and he wants me to build him a box.. then he tells me that the subs are "MAX10D" and that he has no info on the subs.. ok later that day when he droped them off i found out that there LANZAR subs... (yes i tried to sell him some REAL subs) long story short i dont know what size to make the box... he wants the box to be single chammber and tuned to 40hz... i am thinking round 3.5ft3 i think he has a kicker 600.1amp

any ideas?

wow... I just punched in those woofs' t/s params and they really need a big enclosure for decent allignment. You could get away with 1.5 cu. ft. ported for EACH sub, tuned to 30 Hz looks so-so.

The curve looks not impressive in sealed 1.65 cu. ft. for a Qtc of .707, with a F3 (3dB down) @ 41 Hz. But according to its T/S params, it appears to like a sealed box more, unless you have a crud load of space for an optimal vented enclosure which would be more like 2 cu. ft. or bigger, per EACH woof.

After looking at the theoretical response curves and seeing what kind of air space they're comfortable in, I'd, personally, recommend a different woof. But, if he's set on those, they'll at least be able to make some ok boom boom.

I guess you could also see if he'd be happy running them isobarak. That'll still maintain the power-handling of the 4 woofs, but will decrease enclosure air space requirements by half.

LMAO the kid came back to the shop to see how the box is coming.... he starts talking to me and telling me that he wants to get in to the SPL scene.. i was like ok and ,,, he when on saying how he was at a show and 4 10" hit like 154db and that was GEO metro like his. then i told him that i wanted him to hear my car. so we did so i took him out to the bird and he almost shit. his eyes where huge i almost had to give him a towel for the drool. then he asked if i compete and said yea and he asked if the shop had a spl team i said yea and then he asked if he can be a part of it..... i told him that i have to talk to the boss on monday.. just cus i did not wanna say anything..

4-10" and 600rms and stock alt of mabye like 60 amps the only thing that he has going is it is a hach back... i will talk to the owner but i think that the kid will have to do some upgrades. but just to be nice i gave him some decals
