Alright Guys,
This was my first time installing a system, But I had the help of my Dad
who has done many in the past.
It consists of:
Alpine CDA-105 Deck
JL 300/4 Amp
JL W3 Sub
2 Sony Xplod 6x9's
2 Sony Xplod 4x6's
Scosche amp wiring kit
The First Problem is that the Amp doesn't turn on when the deck does;
it has to be jumped to get it to kick on.
And once its on its like its putting no power out to the sub.
I have Both preamp outputs to the correct spots, and I have it set to
4channel mode. The sub is a bridged connection on the rear channel,
and the speakers are on the front channel.
I was reading more about the Deck and found out there is a switch
on the bottom ("EXT AP") but i have no clue what it does, and could
not find out what it does.
Also, the remote turn on wire fried or something when we jumped the amp.
All of the rubber(?) coating just melted off as far as I could trace it.
I really want to get this think up and thumping so any advice I'm sure
will be a big help.
Thanks,
James
