Not sure ...XXX, Brahma, DD???

Aloha, Well I've come down to 3 subs that I'm looking at, all of which are 15's. At the moment I want to get 1 15 since my 2 12w3's crapped out on me and myCrossfire cfa602 is still going strong, but plan on going to 2 15's down the road. I'm looking at either a XXX (552 shipped) a Brahma (Roughly 540 shipped) or a Digital Designs 9515(575 locally). I'd love to find a local dealer for the brahma but ...well I'm not holding my breath.

I have a Toyota Tacoma Xtracab which I plan to house the box in the entire ektra cab that normally carried my tools and various spare parts I need for my truck, so the extracab is not needed and I listen mostly to Hawaiian/ Island music, reggae..and anything else with a good beat and bassline. Unfortunately I can't find anyone locally that has either a xxx or brahma, so I'm not sure if the DD is even on the same level. And I'm looking to port the subs if that helps any.

I'm torn between the three subs I mentioned above basically because the DD is local, and the other 2 because I hear a lot of good about them. Is there much of a difference between them, and whats a good lower ($350-500) cost amp that I could use with them. I was thinking one that give 1200+ watts rms. Any help anyone could provide I'd appreciate. I been out of the audio game since 2000 so I'm not sure whats decent anymore so I'm basically new to this whole thing. Mahalo(thanks)

Although the 9515 has good SQ, the Brahma and XXX will definitely be better. IMO I would lean more towards the Brahma or XXX for a daily system as it sounds like yours will be, and the 9515 for more of an SPL system.

As for an amp, it depends which of the subs you chose. Whichever it is, do a search, you'll find plenty of options that way.

Any idea where I can buy Adire subs thats reputable? I tried calling them but they're closed untill the 3rd and I'm looking for some info on them. I'm leaning more towards the Brahma's because I've heard about them more. I'm just really not looking forward to buying something online. I always seem to have bad luck with online purchases. Any differences between the XXX and the Brahma?

Nows the time to buy (get your order in) the Brahmas if you want them (and I personally reccomend them very highly) I am sure that after CES they will be even that much harder to get ahold of.

Not really...1500W to a Brahma will make it scream....might want to adjust the gain for it.

Daily beatings... I would say XXX.

"Normal" usage... I would say Brahma.

Decent Daily with an eye on burping: 9515.

I'm taking a wild geuss you don't live here anymore though right?? I want to find someone that has one so I can listen to it before I buy...I think one 15 for now and a nother one later on after the truck is lifted some more and I hybrid some supra injectors to the engine....it never ends ****it

They have retailers......I have a brick-n-mortar dealer within 10 miles of me. They don't carry regular inventory, or have a display setup.....so I can't hear them, but they are authorized to sell Adire products.

On the website they have a dealer listing...there are quite a few actually.
