Not sure whats wrong..

I have a Boss 3500 amp and a 12" Kicker. They've been working great until last night when the speaker wires came out of the terminals on the kicker. So i hooked em back up to the kicker and now im not getting any sound from the kicker.

The amp IS getting power, I tested the sub with a 9v battery and it is working. Everything is connected properly.. The only thing i can think is maybe the fuses needed to be replace? I really dont know anything about fuses..

Or maybe I need a new RCA? Is there a way to test of the RCA works? Also I dont know if this makes a difference, but when starting my car the head unit set my sub lvl to 0.. it didnt do that when it was working.

Any help would really be appreciated..

look at the fuses and see if they are burnt or if the little wire going across is broken. sounds to me like the speaker wires touched and it cooked the outputs. (aka new amp time)

yeah the fuses looked fine.. The wires touching is most likely what happened, I guess its new amp time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif I just got this one 2 weeks ago. Is there anyway possible I could fix the amp?

being a BOSS amp, probably not. do you have a DMM? if so, see if it's putting out anything. my guess is no if the sub is good. i bet that's exactly what happened.

I used a pulse meter to check if anything was being outputted from the amp and i wasnt getting anything

Once I had a fuse that was in one of those plastic cases not an acrylic one and the connections were surrounded in plastic and at one point the connection was just lose and there was some plastic inbetween the fuse and the connector took me a while to narrow it down to that.

good thing that amp is piece of **** paperweight, it will be easy to replace.

Id rather have a low grade amp then no amp.. Im in no position to by a new one anytime soon
