Not satisfied with my box

Well I have a mtx 8000 series 12 in a 2.866 cubic feet tuned at 28.45 hz ...

the other day I tried a Rockford fosgate Punch HX2 that was in a tiny ported box .. looked about 1.5-1.75 and not sure of the tuning ... but it had the same output at the lower frequencies as well as the higher bass notes which my box doesn't catch!

what do you guys recommend for an all round good and loud sound box??

Albeit allthe talk of dissing Rockford Fosgate, they still have VERY loud subs... I duno if the MTX can compare with the HX2's...
