Not hitting deep enough...

I have two 12" Type R's in a 5cube 32hz box powered by the HiFonics 1206D. The bass just doesn't seem to be hitting very deep or low. My first thought was that the inside of the box needs to be sealed up....will this make it sound deeper?

what do you mean sealed up? check your amp settings. may have a filter on

By sealed up I mean sealing all the edges and corners with something so absolutely no air escapes except through the port.

disconnect 1 sub,

liste to the bass,

then re-connect the sub,

the bass should be more,

if its less,

you have 1 sub wired 'out of phase'

if so, wire 1 sub reversed and your fixed.

by the way you wired it, series, parrallel. you might wanna search up and read up and learn a little more before you jump right in

Must be a wiring problem because it should be slamming pretty good! I had two off only 1000rms and did over 140 on the TL in a sealed box. I am not sure how much a basshead you are, but should be plenty. Sounds like you need to rewire it or something is wrong with the box.

Dual 4 ohm wiring ( Wire like the first diagram for a 1 ohm load )

Is your port length correct for 32 hz?
