Well.. I made a post a little while back about needing a sub to run off of 250watts at 2ohms. I ended up ordering a RE RE 10. Haven't received it yet, but went ahead and built the box. I had a spare 10 (SPL JWS-10 - looks identical to old jlw6, although it isn't) so I slapped it in this 1.2cuft at 35hz box (or atleast that is what it was supposed to be, ended up trimming a little bit and never recalculated). Well, after installing this 41dollar woofer in this box I couldn't believe how nice it sounded. It this woofer can sound good in this box I can only imagine what the RE will sound like in it. The woofer in there right now over excurtes easily, but before it does, it gets decently loud and sounds nice. I had it hooked to my 1500d at 3 ohms so it was probably receiving about 600 watts. I really don't know why I made this post, but I do have pictures, so enjoy those. I think I made this post because I was satisfied with a box that was actually a nightmare to get done, I seemed to fvck up a lot, but all seem to come together well. BTW, this was my first time at a "wrap" port, normally I will do an L shaped port, but this one turned out pretty good.

-sry for cell phone pics... didn't have digital camera with me.

Nice lookin box. You'll be very happy with the RE in that box.

I had a 12" RE in a 1.8 cube box tuned to 33 hz, the output was excellent and quality was very good, IMO they are very good drivers for ported applications, I know you'll enjoy it.

Although, my only gripe with it, my old Rockford 160a2 bridged @ 2ohms, which was maybe 250 watts rms, it could push it to full excursion on the lower notes, so make sure you have a subsonic or I'm sure you'll run into some problems.

I don't know if you're going to get much better sound from the RE. The JWS sub is badass and is an amazing sounding driver. When compared head to head with a w6AE, I couldn't hear a difference at all except when pushed hard. The suspension seems to be a little softer causing it to bottom out a little easier. Either way, I was only able to do that with about 450rms or so.

Originally it was supposed to be 35hz... I need to reapply the settings in ISD and see what it came out to after having to trim it down.

.... wow, looked and it looks like it is at 45hz now... didn't know I had changed it that much. So it looks like after all that careful math to get 1.2 at 35hz... I ended up with .9 at 45hz.... me = ftl

despite that thou, it does sound NICE!!!!
