Item(s) for Sale:

I have an Alpine V12 MRV-T757 amp powering 2 12" Kicker comps in a sealed box. I've had this set up for a couple years same wires and everything. A couple days ago my amp lost power while I was cruising and bumping so I check it out to find that my fuse had melted to my power wire. Which is a 6 gauge scosche oxygen free copper wire from a Walmart amp kit. So I go to Walmart and buy a whole new kit just to get the same power wire to ensure it sounded the same only to install it and find my amp isn't receiving enough power. I know this because the power indicator on the amp is flashing red while the music and protect lights are solid green. Music comes out of the speakers but quietly and with a high pitch ringing. I thought it was because I didn't bother to cut the power wire down any this time so I did that and still the same thing happens. Anyone have any ideas? Again it's the same set up and same wiring I've been using for years.

i always use 1/0 for power and ground.makes the alternator and battery work much less trying to push that power through a small wire.i have a small 90 amp alt. and running arc ks 300.2 and arc ks 1000.1 and no real issues unless sitting still not driving lights dim a little, but wire size is a part most people go cheap on but its worth it.i also use a stinger hybrid 5 and 10 farad capacitor.tryed with and without and no matter what others say about caps they work well as long as your within reason on your amps.if i was going to have a 3000w system would get a extea battery, but then you need battery isolator, more 1/0 wire ect, gets exp.best option over all is a 240 amp alt,and then no issues at all for you.
