Noobish Question, but curious.

What's the max a car can handle power wise before you need new alt, and extra batteries? I'm running 500W 12"s at the moment and I've done 2/3 of the big 3 and everything is doing great. No dimming, voltage drops to my knowledge. I ask because I was thinking of running 1 RF 12" T2 @ 1k watts and was beginning that would be 'too much'. So any help would be great sorry if it may be a really nooby question.

Depends on the car. Most cars you can be certain will take 1K watts, others can go up to 1500 watts on stock.....after that, usually some decent upgrade is needed. But for your case. The big 3 and the proper sized wiring should be plenty to handle 1k watts.

Alright cool. My friend want's my current subs to get him started, and I thought that would be a great opportunity for me to get some nice stuff for once. But yeah the 1k watts was giving me a little grief but I've done a few things like I said, 4 gauge big 3, new termals, sanded all ground spots, etc. Common things but I;m just trying to keep my volts and power as clean as possible.
