thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

for 120.. theres probably a better used amp on here in the classifieds section.

and a class AB amp at 300 RMS shouldnt be BAD but once again, you are underpowering the speaker a bit. (although a speaker has never been blown with TOO LITTLE wattage)... set your gains right so you dont clip it.

ah my bad..actually the monoblock wont be powerin the sub with 300w since thats at 2 ohms..its actaully going to be at 150watts with 4 ohms.. would that be bad to do to with the sub? what would you suggest for an amp?

check the classified section.. keep within your price range you feel comfortable with. theres plenty of 400 rms amps out there.. check around for the 4 ohms tho. you might wanna buy a second sub to get down to 2 ohms and 800 RMS.. lot more options.

it wouldnt do anything to the sub as lng as you wernt clipping, and as for an amp there are many, many, many amps out there that coulf easily power this sub so its kinda hard to just pick one out of a hat... whats your budget? and do you plan on running it at 4ohm?

alright..but if i do get a monoamp with rms less then my subwoofer..its not going to harm the woofer correct?

well..like i said im a noob..and can you explain clipping? and im not shure if i could run the subwoofer at 2 ohms..so for these nub *** questions..just trying to get my stuff down. since my deadline is tom. for THAT amp.

Your alot better than most of the new guys here...and some of the veterans

It's not doing anything to the inside of the amp. The basic gist of it is the output is trying to produce a signal with a voltage peak higher than the rail voltage from the powre supply and the as such the top of each wave from gets "clipped" off at the level of the rail voltage.
This is a good read to about gains
