Noob Need Advice. HELP!!!

I'm really new to home audio, but I'm looking to put a good 5.1 system in my apt. i already have a LCD TV with 720P and 1080i. I have a budget for everything like $1000. I live in a small town and only place I have is Circuitcity. They only have a few for me to try.

I'm thinking of Klipsch or Infinity that already come as a set + receiver.

Also, what kind of receiver I need to buy? How to hook them up?

Any one has any ideas? Please.....

well you need a receiver that has 5channel and if you want to add an powered subwoofer make sure it has a subwoofer pre out output.

idk if they have but i know either cc or bb has polk speakers which are better of the 2 brands listed but i would get klipsch before infinity.

Klipsch is good stuff, better than Infinity. Whatever brand it may be I still wouldn't want a pre-built system.

I'm assuming you can buy online, correct?

Yep, I can buy it online.

So, what other brands do you have in mind? Also, the reason, I like a set of Klipsch or Infinity is because i almost graduate and probably have to move away. So, it is easier to move with me.

From what I hear KEF is good.
