noob in need of help

my friend asked me to help with him system. i can build the box but im still not completely confident in my wiring ability. hes looking to do 2 12'' kicker compvt flats in his truck. im not sure as to what size amp i need and how to wire it. he doesnt have the subs or amp yet so can still get either VC. specs:

Kicker CompVT: 300rms at 2 or 4 ohm

Amps. :

Kicker zx500.1 500watts at 2ohm, 250 at 4ohm

kicker zx750.1 700watts 2ohm, 375 at 4ohm

Im assuming he needs the 500.1 at 4 ohms but not positive. help? thanks

Get the zx750.1 and (2) 4ohm CompVT's

my kicker 750. is really 859 watts the 500 should be over 600

can never have too much headroom...IMO

i agree on the 750.1 but he needs 2 ohm dvc's since the 750.1 is a 2 ohm amp and the manuel that comes with the subs will tell you how to wire it...

yeah my bad...too used to dealing with 1ohm stable amps
