I have a 2001 toyota avalon xl with the JBL system plus a kicker zx1000w amp and two type R's in the trunk. The stock alternator is 80 amps.

In the summer im going to add a double din headunit (Pioneer BT-800) and front car speakers. If I add another amp to power the front speakers will that be overkill on the electrical system?

BTW my battery is a new sears diehard

99% of the time, a mids and highs amp will not pull enough current to make much of a difference, unless it is a cheap inefficient amp. Bass amps are what will really pull a lot of current.
