Should we link this kid to what he wants, or what he SHOULD want? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I was thinking PG comps (trigger found the best price that I've seen), MB Quart Discus 4 channel and 10" Alpine Type E sub.

Should be right at $200...

ok so im 15 and i have an F150 with loud tires and exhaust... my plans for this truck was 6.5 subs and tweeters in the doors and 6X9 speakers in the back with a 4-channel amp powering them...
my questions are does that sound like a good set up?

also, what is the best bang for the buck speakers and amp for this set up?

(keep in mind that this is just a truck, not looking to spend a fortune)
but i was going off of 1st post

The 6.5" subs are not meant to be played full range on music. They are subs/mids.
Honesty look at the stuff I listed, much better IMO.
You really think he'd be happier with no sub?

I think he should look into:

http://www.ugotadeal.com/product_info.php?products_id=5548&ref=froogle

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=19510

He has $250 to work with. It should still be under budget after s&h...

He didn't request a sub.
Yes I know, but he also wanted to run 6.5" kicker subs in his front doors. He may not know what he wants. That's probably why he's here.

But it's whatever tha f*ck eva. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

thats exactly y im here... no 10" sub for me... i was jw if it was a good idea for a 6.5 sub in the door. if not then i guess im goin for some were around triggers set up idea

It's cool, man. It's your ride, money, time and equipment. You gotta please yourself.
Is your truck a standard cab, or do you have 4 doors?
its extended cab. a sub might could fit under the back seat... but i got alot of other **** to do to it

also another noob question, is the RMS Power (4 ohms): 60 watts x 4 ch. Soundstream XTA 480.4 amp going to sound much better than running the speakers straitthrough the HU???
