is there any kind of non-amp remote turn on? well let me explain the situation...i have halo/projector headlights for my s10 blazer. the halos have to be hooked up seperatly. i currently have them running through the remote lead of my HU so that they will turn on when my HU is on. but i assume that they are not getting the needed power because they sharing a small power wire w/ the amp. is there any way that i can set the halos up so that they will be activated by a remote turn on? i would like to have them wired directly to the bat, but then i'd either need a toggle (which i dont want) or some kind of junction box/remote thingy to turn them on (like the remote turn on of an amp). you follow what im sayin? any help or other suggestions are appreciated. thanx

What you need is a relay.

What happens is the relay is connected to a power source (battery). The remote lead from the HU feeds the turn on lead of the relay and tells it when to release the battery power to the output sources (halos and amps).

sure, but i was under the impression that he wanted the halos on when the deck was on. but thatd work just as well.
well id prefer to have it on when the iginition is on, not just the HU, but i couldnt figure out which wire was the ignition wire in my column. where can i get one of these relays?
