Noise emitting from tweets....

Hey all. I know this has been discussed before, but in my search I didn't come across my specific problem.

When both of the rca pairs are hooked up to my Crunch 4 channel amp I get a hissing/hum from the tweeters. The higher the gain on the amp, the louder it gets, BUT if I disconnect one of the rcas, the hum disappears from the one that is still connected. To be very clear, if I unplug the rear rca connectors, for example, the front speakers will be perfect with no noise at all even with the gain on max. It's not noticable with music playing, but with the volume at 0 you can really hear it.

It is not engine noise. I've checked everything I can think of.

I regrounded the HU to the battery terminal to be sure.

The amp is grounded fine, it's on bare shiny metal on the rear seat belt screw with big wire.

The rcas are ran on opposite sides from the power/remote wires.

Any thoughts car audio gurus?

I messed around with the rcas again.

It's a ground loop I'm almost sure, but why would I have it if everything is connected correctly?

How do I fix this?

I connected just the left rca and then touched the outer jacket of the rear rca to the inner ground sleeve of the amps female rca, and it made the same noise, so it's definitely a ground problem of some sort.

I have an Eclipse CD2000.

Another thing I found is that the problem is gone when the key is in the first position, but in the second position it is there.

I'll try out that Pioneer fix, at this point I'll try anything.

OK after trying everything imaginable I tried what should have been one of the first steps.

I tried some cheap home audio rca cables and it worked like a charm.

Cheap *** Scosche cables FTL!!

That's the last time I go with low budget patch cables.

Put a review of them in the review section so no one else asks the same question because of their "Cheap *** Scoshe cables." //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

It would be my pleasure.

I think I'm gonna go with these Monster cables.

I usually am not a fan of Monster in the home audio world because there are so many cheaper high quality brands, but it looks like they offer more reasonable prices in car audio, and I know that they will have high quality connectors.
