Hey all. I know this has been discussed before, but in my search I didn't come across my specific problem.
When both of the rca pairs are hooked up to my Crunch 4 channel amp I get a hissing/hum from the tweeters. The higher the gain on the amp, the louder it gets, BUT if I disconnect one of the rcas, the hum disappears from the one that is still connected. To be very clear, if I unplug the rear rca connectors, for example, the front speakers will be perfect with no noise at all even with the gain on max. It's not noticable with music playing, but with the volume at 0 you can really hear it.
It is not engine noise. I've checked everything I can think of.
I regrounded the HU to the battery terminal to be sure.
The amp is grounded fine, it's on bare shiny metal on the rear seat belt screw with big wire.
The rcas are ran on opposite sides from the power/remote wires.
Any thoughts car audio gurus?
