I got a newer rockford p400-4. Birthsheet said 523 watts for all 4 chans
sure the birth sheet is in the best settings but still

Rockford stuff isnt as bad as people make it.

I remember about 2-3 years ago when DD was getting alot of attention. Tons of people who have never even heard a DD sub in action where saying they are the best subs ever.

Then came the RE bandwagon, same thing happend.

He showed me a Rockford Fosgate amp, this amp was small and for the price I thought he was trying to burn me. He told me that If it did not meet my expectations he would refund my money. Ever since then I was amazed on the power of these amps and thats all I go with Most of my system is fosgate and DAM my shit hits hard and sounds loud. I know its not the best but its pretty close. and are not overpriced I think those RE subs are overpriced a XXX12 cost something like 1500, with that much money i can buy almost 4 T2 which by the way are UNBELIEVABLE.

BOTTOM LINE ROCKFORD FOSGATE has a long reputation of GREAT car AUDIO over 20 years how many companies can say that

X2 rockford is a bad *** company but Memphis is just as good. Myself Id rather have a Rockford or a Memphis over a REor a JL any day.

Old school RF to me is somewhere around 92-96 RF stuff... Their amps.. i geve em a 7/10 not too shabby...

My thought on new school amps is Definetly either..... Zapco, Cadence, Memphis.. JL isn't too bad ..lil mainstream for me though

A grew up on Rockford fosgate amps. As far as their subs I wouldnt know. It seems over the last couple of years people seem to slip away into other brands. I like anything that would last and give me my watts. Rockford fosgate makes sum good joints, I wish their suvs were a lil' better in the since of reputation. I haven't heard none personally, but as far as the amps....good ish.

Pretty soon im going to have everything in my truck ROCKFORD and that proves that all around from amps, subs, components Their a top notch company, and their technical support is very knowledgeable and helpfull. And YES their amps are overpowered that just means more bang for the buck.

because their amps are sometimes overrated why does that mean more bang for the buck?? you also pay more for their amps then others.

I'm running 2 T212D2's powered by 2 T1000.1bd(actual rms is around 1550) and believe me these subs hit hard with the gain set at like 15%. I feel its the perfect setup. as a matter of fact before i baught the second amp i had the 2 subs on one amp and the gain set at 60% and still hit hard as hell, I was like OOOOOh WEEEEEE

If you believe that RF is the best their is in the car audio industry, you are sadly mistaken. Even Memphis Audio (which itself does nothing particularly revolutionary) is ahead of RF on the product curve.

Show me any product from either company, and I will show you a product from another company that does it better. Maybe the only exception here is the 3Sixty.2, but that depends on what you're looking for.

Every RF SPL setup that I've seen lately has been horrible on the meter. I know of 2 different 4-15" RF setups that aren't as loud as my single 15 and one of them has 3-4x the power that I do.
