Well one of our team members a couple of years back bought like 6 of the T2's so we had some to play with and test out. They didnt last tooooo long with severe SPL use so using them was abandoned.

They're looking for new driver engineers. Maybe they'll be able to turn things around...their OEM work over the last two years has helped them start to make a profit again.

It runs deeper than that. When RF started selling through BestBuy, they sold 2 different quality standards. The "800aII" was sold at BestBuy, while the "800a2" was sold by their old b&m distributors, to name one example. Same specs, RF didn't even acknowledge there were 2 different model lines. But when you cracked them open it was obvious they were different, and the BB models were cheaper.
That is when RF really started going down hill.

Does anyone have proof of this? Very worthwhile fact if it can be proven.

It was pretty common knowledge for those of us 'in the know' at the time. Its true I assure you. That, imo, has lead to a lot of the dis-trust within the industry that RF now has, a company that once was highly praised for its quality pieces and attention to details.

sure the birth sheet is in the best settings but still

Rockford stuff isnt as bad as people make it.

I remember about 2-3 years ago when DD was getting alot of attention. Tons of people who have never even heard a DD sub in action where saying they are the best subs ever.

Then came the RE bandwagon, same thing happend.

Slowly brands like RF,sony,etc starting getting a bad name. I dont know what happened but it seems now that people see them as a brand to avoid.

Have you actually read this thread? RF's depleting reputation is not due solely to some bandwagon movement against them.
