Sorry for the camera phone pics, didnt want to grab the real camera with chaulk/primer on hands. Now this was my first box build ever, and so many things were done wrong its not even funny. Goes to show many things are easier said than done. Oh and never have Lowes cut the boards for you, that was the biggest mistake. You can flame all you want, I know the box sucks, but it was great expierence, and I know how to do many many many things differently in the future. Prob will be building another box before the sub gets here, but we'll see if this one works and is sealed properly. Oh and I ended up painting it, just because it looked so hideous I couldn't even look at it without paint. It needed something bad. I was going to do an indepth process of painting it, but 2 layers of gloss black is all I did. I say leave it like it is, assuming it's functional, it'll make you work that much harder on the next one... The only thing that I would have done differently is maybe a double baffle, I think that TC weighs **** near 50lbs.

I wanted to double baffle it, especially since the main board is only 13.5 inches in height, but i decided i'd wait til box 2 to do that since i had 0 expierence making boxes. I'm hoping everything is sealed up though. I used an entire roll of chaulk on this thing because of the gaps from the boards being too small. The paint's dried and sub should be here tommorrow. Running wires through the port first to make sure it works and if everything looks good ill cut the hole in the back and pass the wires through and then carpet it maybe. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

Also, the camera phone is a Motorolla Razor (sp?) the non MP3 one. Oh, with a crack in the lense too, dropped one too many times.

Btw, this is the car it's going into. I would like eventually to either fiberglass a box that makes it looks very very smooth and fit the car or paint and sand a regular MDF box to match the color scheme. I think it would look sick.

if you do a search on this forum youll see that your enclosure look way better then allot of other peoples first projects.

yours looks very good. and that paint job is very nice as well. if you keep on practicing, youll be very good at it.
