Just installed a new HU in my car. Didnt have time to run the RCAs to the trunk so I just dropped them into the glove box after hooking them up at the back of the HU. I wanted to make sure they were working before I called it a day. With music playing I put my DMM (set to AC) on the RCAs and didn't get any reading.. Have any idea way?

On my Kenwood headunit, you have to put it on stand-by and select menu, and then select the option to turn the RCA's on. You will also have to do that same process to select the option of turning your USB and Aux inputs on too. In the same menu you can select speaker sizes too. Just remember, if your radio is on and not in stand-by mode, you will get a different menu(which you can change the menu buttons and background).

Yeah just read about this today trying to get my AUX port to show up. For my RCA options I see a choice of rear and SW. I switched it to SW but sens I don't have time to install my amp right now I guess i'll just wait and see. Thanks for the info man!
