No Subs for me?

Adire Audio Brahma!!!!! pretty much for all intents and purposes the exact same sub as the XXX. A 15" is about $450 shipped from Adire. Call them up and ask for Steve or Dan, they will understand your situation, and tell them I reccomended you.

The XXX and the Brahma are not the same sub. They both use XBL^2 so they have similar (very) sound characterisitcs. But other than them both using XBL^2, the motor is completely different, different suspension, cone type/materials, Brahma has less excursion, less power handling, etc. They are very close, and I would recommend them interchangably in many situations, but they are by no means the 'exact same sub'.

Is there a reason why Alpines new Type-X's are not in the picture? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
i havent heard much about them. Are they any good?

Read my post again:
for all intents and purposes, they are the exact same sub
what you said:
...I would reccomend them interchangeably....
You are re-hashing exactly what I said previously. Take any person's words out of context and you can change the whole intent of their message. No they arent the same sub, use your reading comprehensions skills, and you will see that I never referred to them as being the same sub, they are exactly the same for intent and purpose only, basically, they are interchangeable, as you yourself stated.

Please stop making pointless arguments....

You really hate being disagreed with, dont you? Please re-read my post, and dont break it up to make it look like I was saying something I wasn't. For example, you quoted me as saying "I would reccomend them interchangeably", when I actually said: "They are very close, and I would recommend them interchangably in many situations, but they are by no means the 'exact same sub'." I find it interesting you would intentionally leave out the other part of my quote, to try to twist my words. And you say I make pointless arguements. Nice try tho.

You said they are "pretty much for all intents and purposes the exact same sub as the XXX". Sorry, but they aren't.

You are right that the subs are quite a bit different....different mass materials, suspension, motor, etc....I would compare it more to the Tumult.

However, stop making useless arguments like to attempted with me. *shakes head*

I have a 325I as well. Remember that the battery is in the back of the vehicle so I would not mess with buying more than one amp kit since the cables will probably be no more than 3 feet. I would look into the Streetwires dist. block that has the positive and the negative on the same block, it really makes things nice. They make it for up to 4 amps with fuse holders etc. Also do not cut the original powercable anywhere, it has a feature called the "battery safety terminal" which has a small explosive in the cable that disconnects the cable when there is a serious accident. If you do this your airbag light will never go off and it will cost several hundred to fix.
