No sound, just bass

there's nothing wrong with the radio... you have your power antenna wire connected to your factory remote turn on wire... is this a jeep/chrysler/dodge vehicle of some sort? if not oh well... pull your radio out... and disconnect whatever you have your Blue wire connected to... then splice your Blue/White into what the Blue was connected to and your problems will go away

^I think you misunderstood that he DOES have sound when listening to the radio. I dont see how the power antenna would affect CD play.

Also what store did you buy this from?

its a 2000 dodge ram.

I havent called them yet. The deck is now on factory backorder on their site. But what is Slody4Futbol trying to say? I should splice the amp remote wire into the power antennae on the HU?

Err Did you hook this up?

I did this one time in a Jeep(this is stupid, but COULD be it???) - - - I hooked the remote wire up to the power antenna wire instead of the remote, make sure that the remote isnt going to the power antenna wire(which I believe is blue and white, instead of solid blue?)

on the deck harness, blue is power antenna and blue/white is remote. but with my amp kit, the remote is just blue. so i have blue/white (deck remote) connecting to blue (amp remote) and then blue (deck power antenna) connecting the the factory blue antenna power.

update: I called the cardomain support # and operator said it was out of service, so I shot them an e-mail explaining the situation. since the deck is on backorder, maybe they'll send me the next one up.

Are you getting bass from the cd or just a solid stream of bass. Try unhooking your rcas from the back of the cd player and see if you have sound? Does it have two places fro rcas on the back one output one for aux in?

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PANASONIC SUCKS!!! i have a cq-c8100U i think thats the name, but it happens all the time. take out the HU and make sure all of your wires are tight if you just hooked em together with electrical tape...or make sure the harness is plugged in. All i do is move the wires around and it plays. If that doesnt work, unhook the "yellow and red" wires comming from your HU and hook them back up.

you couldnt be closer to the truth. i spliced the remote into the power antenna and bam, it worked. thanks a million man.
