No Sound Fron AVIC-N3

Hi:

I am a newbie so bare with me if I placed this post in the wrong location.

We have a brand new Pioneer AVIC-N3 unit and there are 3 sets of speakers for it.

- (1) pair of TS-A1681S 4 Way 6.5" diameter speakers for doors

- (1) pair of TS-A931P 3 Way 6"x 9" speakers for side of seats

- (1) pair of TS-SW2541D 10" Subwoofer for behind the seats

- (1) 750 watt amp for the Sub woofers GM-5200T 2 Channel

- The plan is to have non amplified speakers for door areas and the amp to drive the Sub woofers.

We power up the AVIC-N3 unit and get the display to show and have 1 set of speaker leads (non amplified) going to 1 speaker to test the system.

The CD shows it playing and counting the tracks.

There is no sound coming out of the speaker.

We tried the amplified side and yes it has sound.

Is there anything special to toggle via a switch from amplified to non amplified leads on the speaker output? I have been thru the manual to the point I cannot read anymore. We have looked at the hardware section and all connections appear correct.

This is the last thing we need to do to finish off the car and bring her home.

turn the internal amplifier on??? I dont know just a thought

Well, we would if we knew how

We can build the entire car but cannot get sound......... yikes.

We thought that there should be 1 of 2 conditions:

1.) non amplified and amplified are BOTH on all the time

2.) some sort of hardware or software toggle to select one OR the other (but where)

Well, we got it resolved.
