No Sound From Speakers

I installed a Jensen VM9410 in my 03 tahoe with bose and no Onstar. Put Bose interface on and everything works fine except no sound comes from my speakers when I play a CD or DVD. However when I switch it to the radio static comes out (haven't got adapter for antenna yet.) What might have I done wrong.

When you say you haven't bought the antenna adapter, do you mean there's no antenna connected?

If so, there's your problem.

Thats right I thought everything would play without it. Appreciate the help.

you dont have yoiur remote turn-on hooked up right.
