PERMANENT VACATION
i have a 2005 hyunday santa fe and on sunday i installed a pioneer dehp4000ub. after properly hooking everything back up, the h/u turns on but theres not a peep from any of the speakers. checked the stock amp and audio fuses and the fuse on the h/u. today i checked the wiring again and it was correct. however the amp ground wire (black/white) is not hooked to the h/u and i asked the store where i bought this stuff from and they said to splice it with the h/u grnd so i did that and it didnt do shit.

i read most of the engine noise sticky last night and glad i did because there was lots of talk about pioneer issues but none of that is affecting me just yet. not my first time working on car audio (its been a while) but is my first time attempting to install everything from scratch. thanks for any help.

on the harness i got for the pioneer there is no black/white to splice to.

and you're saying i shouldnt splice that with the solid black grnd wire and instead just ground it all by itself? im thinking about not worrying about it since ill be putting in am amp for these soon anyway. im just wondering if this is the reason im not getting any sound or if its something else.
