No sound coming from speakers - help!!!

i just installed some RSd's in my car and they are currently running off my head unit. I ran speakers wire from the amp in my trunk to behind the head unit where i connected the speaker wire to the wires running to the speakers. When i turn the car on, i get no sound from the speakers, but the really wierd thing is, the rear speakers dont have any sound coming from them either, and they were still connected to the head unit. I have rcas running from all three outputs on the back of the cd player becuase i am going to eventually use them all.

I would really appriciate any help. Thanks!

does your amp turn on??

are the RCA"S plugged into the to correct RCA inputs on the AMP?

does your HU ask you to "Turn On" your RCA Output? look in the manual.

take a speaker lead from one of the speaker off of the amps output.

take that speaker wire lead and hook it up to your Head units normal speaker output wires and see if you get any audio.

**** you guys are thinking to much. he used the existing wires that run from the hu to the speakers so he doest have run his own. i did this in my car so if i had to sell the car, i could hook up the speakers back to the hu.

I dont know how to better explain this................

I cut the speakers wires running from the back of the cd player and connected the amp speaker outputs to those wires in the behind the head unit. I hooked them to the wires running to the speakers, NOT the wires running from the head unit.

try messing around with the high/low pass settings.

or switching around teh rca's

you did connect rca's right?
