So I've ran into something weird on my amp. It has 2 70a fuses that have no voltage to them ( checked with DVM & Test light) but amp functions as it should! Wth am I missing here? Hifonics BRX1516.1D
First test the leads by settimg DMM to Ohms, then touch tips together. Should be zero Ohms. Make sure ground point is solid and that meter is on DC Volts.Wth am I missing here?
All that's been done. Thought maybe my leads were bad. Like I said, the amp functions normally, just not sure what to think about these fuses. Also checked them with a Continuity tester, there good.First test the leads by settimg DMM to Ohms, then touch tips together. Should be zero Ohms. Guess it's time to take it apart and see. Makes no sense!!Not the first time an amp has used fake fuses.

Whoa, whoa, whoa! Let us take a step back. If it ain't broke, don't fix itGuess it's time to take it apart and see. Makes no sense!!
Too a point I agree, but being that the logo led's quit working, maybe I'll see something.Whoa, whoa, whoa! Let us take a step back. If it ain't broke, don't fix it
Took the back off and the fuses definitely aren't fake. Pulled the fuses out then check the fuse terminals for power, they test @ 14.4v. Triple checked the fuses and they test good, reinstall them and get no voltage reading ( definitely making contact) and amp functions normally except for the logo illumination. Not the first time an amp has used fake fuses.

Like I said, it makes no sense. I've definitely done my share of electrical work. I tested it with a lipo battery from my Rc stuff, so I know it was getting enough voltage.Weird.
